Terry J. Lapeyrouse, Sr., 88, a native and longtime resident of Chauvin, LA passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 8, 2023, surrounded by his loving family down the bayou.
Terry is survived by his brother, Dean Lapeyrouse; his children, Sheila Wilkerson (Ron), Terry Jr. “Beaver”, Elizabeth Dupre (Peter), Ilinie Lapeyrouse and Christopher Lapeyrouse; mother of his children, Ilinie Authement; his step-son, Michael Blanchard (Michelle); 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Lester and Gertrude Lapeyrouse; his sister, Catherine Champagne; his daughters, Pamela Lapeyrouse and Maxine Lapeyrouse; his second wife, Rosalie Blanchard Lapeyrouse.
Terry was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend. Terry “Pops” dedicated his life to his family business and Robinson Canal. He will be missed by all who knew him.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date at Chauvin Funeral Home in honor of Terry “Pops.”
