Virtrine Marcel Daigle, 85, a life long resident of Bayou Blue, passed away on April 12, 2023.
A private burial will be held at a later date in St. Louis Cemetery.
She is survived by her daughter, Debra Daigle Lapeyrouse; sons, Perry Daigle and wife Sue, and Troy Daigle and wife Kristi; grandchildren, Billy LeBlanc, Jesse LeBlanc, Cammy Lapeyrouse, Jeffery Daigle and wife Katalin, Kristen Terrill and husband Andrew, Ashley Daigle, and Keith Daigle; great grandchildren, Cole LeBlanc, Cullen LeBlanc, Jayden Lapeyrouse, Jazlyn Lapeyrouse, and Kyron Terrill.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerold William Daigle; sons, Wayne Daigle and Keith Daigle; parents, Louis Paul Marcel and Augusta Dhuet Marcel; brothers, Eugene Marcel and Junius Marcel; sisters, Celina Marcel Buquet, Aline Marcel Boudreaux, Flavia Marcel Thibodeaux, and Irene Marcel Porche,
Virtrine was the baby of the family and the last survivor of her siblings. She was a parishioner and Catechism teacher at St. Louis Catholic Church in Bayou Blue. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, dancing, camping, the Mardi Gras parades, and spending time with family during family gatherings. She was a happy, loving, and caring mother and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
