Willie “Chill Will” Smith III, 67, a native of Raceland and resident of Houma, passed away on July 1, 2023.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 7, 2023 from 5pm to 8pm at Samart Funeral Home of Houma, Bayou Blue. Visitation will resume on Saturday, July 8, 2023 from 9am to 11am, with the service to begin at 11am, at Samart Funeral Home of Houma, Bayou Blue. Burial will follow in Rogers Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Selina Dardar; children, April Davis and husband Derek, James Dardar and husband Mark, Helen Dardar, and Crystal Carbajal and husband Fernando; brother, Spencer Davis; sisters, Audrey Brown and husband Terry, Gayle Folse and husband Lionel, Amanda Franklin and husband Kerry, Kathleen Brickley and husband Morris, Ethel Shelvy and husband Brian, and Enola Smith and husband Michael; aunts, Rosie, Bertha , and Beatrice; uncles, Juan and Herbert; 9 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Smith II; mother, Cora Lee Banks; brother, Oscar Cleveland Jr.; grandchildren, Angel Dardar and Londyn Dardar; grandparents, Osberry Diles, Lula Davis, Willie Smith I, and Elizabeth Boloney.
Willie enjoyed watching football, wrestling, and barbecuing. On the weekends, you could find him spending his free time with family and friends. He loved his family most and cherished every moment spent with them. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, son, and brother who will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
