Bill proposed to greatly limit public access to government records
Louisianans may soon lose access to great swaths of government records currently made available upon request under the state public records law. The proposal, Senate Bill 482, which is backed by Gov. Landry, would bar access to “any records reflecting advisory opinions, recommendations and deliberations comprising part of a process by which governmental decisions and policies are formulated.”

Arrests Made In April 6th Shooting Investigation
Thibodaux Chief of Police Bryan Zeringue announced that two separate arrests were made connected to the April 6, 2024, shooting investigation, which also led to multiple other gun, drug and warrant related arrests on additional subjects.
