March 9, 2016The Nicholls State University men’s basketball team is going back to Katy, Texas, for the Southland Conference Tournament.
The Colonels punched their ticket to postseason play on Saturday afternoon in a 64-45 victory over Southeastern Louisiana in Stopher Gym.
The victory means that Nicholls is the No. 7-seed (out of eight teams) in the field.
They will take on No. 6 McNeese State on Wednesday night in the opening round.
That game will tip off at 7:30 p.m., and it will be broadcast live on the WatchESPN app. •
