Congratulations to Gabriella Delgado, senior at Houma Christian School, for placing third at the LHSAA State Cross Country Championship! Delgado is the only female runner from the parish who placed at the State Championship.
“It felt really good to finish the race strong,” said Delgado. “I really wanted to do something great, and it was an amazing experience to be able to perform like that.” This is only Delgado’s second year of running competitively.
Delgado plans to continue running at the collegiate level, but is currently undecided. “I am really proud to close out my senior high school season with this accomplishment,” said Delgado.
