After Franklin’s return hit the roof on the next play, Stock’s serve went into the net, giving the Lady Hornets their second points of the game.

The Lady Cardinals would out-score the Lady Hornets 15-6 the rest of the way to complete the sweep.

Stock led the team in kills (13), blocks (1) and digs (1) while Morgan Henning led the team in aces (7). Maria Thomassie added 19 assists on the night to led the Lady Cardinals.

Marcee Simmons led all Lady Hornets with seven kills and nine blocks. Brittany Webber added six digs along with two aces by Kasha Johnson and seven assists by Christen Harris.

Cavell said she is happy with the way everything is going for the Lady Cardinals at this point in the season.

“We had a couple of little mistakes but we moved on,” Cavell said. “I thought we held the score down as low as we could in a varsity situation and we were able to get everybody in at the varsity level.”
