After helping lead the Colonels to the postseason, senior Kat Harrell was named Southland Conference Hitter of the Week.
Harrell batted .583 (7-of-12) against the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islanders, with her best performance coming in the first game May 3 as she went 4-for-4, knocking in three runs.
In the series, Harrell scored five runs, had three steals and played flawless defense.
The accolade marks only the third time in Harrell’s career that she has received the weekly honor; two of those were given during this season.
