August 12, 2010Hornets new head coach Monty Williams finalized his coaching staff Thursday and announced Randy Ayers and Fred Vinson as the final two members of his staff.
“Randy and Fred will bring a wealth of experience to our staff,” Williams said. “Randy is an experienced coach both on the collegiate and professional level … Fred’s experience, particularly with the Clippers, will be instrumental in helping the younger players as they adjust to the NBA.”
Ayers will join the Hornets’ staff after spending last season as an assistant coach for the Philadelphia 76ers – a team he also was the head coach for briefly in 2003.
Vinson has been an assistant for the Los Angeles Clippers since 2007.
