Hungry for some local football, but can’t make it to the stadium for the big game?

Two local television channels may have just the thing to feed your fix.

New Orleans-based WHNO-TV 20 and Houma’s HTV 10 have announced a partnership this fall that will “bring a rich offering of Bayou Region sports programming to viewers across south and southeast Louisiana.”

Among the things that will be broadcast on the networks throughout the season will be Nicholls State football, Prep Football Games of the Week, Saints on the Bayou and the Charlie Stubbs Show.

HTV 10 owner Martin Folse said the agreement was a part of a four-month collaboration and will benefit the most important party: the fans.

“This is a great opportunity for two broadcast media to join forces for the better coverage of the whole,” Folse said in a joint press release issued by both stations. “After all, it’s about the fans and we want the fans to be a larger part of what we do.”
