Calling all Tri-parish athletes, coaches and parents.

Have you ever wanted your own baseball card?

SportsNet may have just the thing for you.

Beginning today, we are going to feature a weekly trading card series that will profile some of the premiere athletes in our region.

The first trading card features Thibodaux two-sport athlete Shavon Coleman (see his card above). His biography, stats and a few interesting tidbits about Coleman’s interests are included on the back of the card (see page 2B).

The cards are designed to be clipped and saved.

The series will give readers in the Tri-parishes an opportunity to get a closer look into the personalities of our fine young athletes.

Parents, do you think your little tike should be featured?

High school coaches, how about a trading card for your senior leader or sophomore stud?

Send an e-mail to sports@tri-parishtimes.com for more information or to nominate a player for this new weekly feature.

We will need an action photo and head shot of the athlete and a brief biography to build the trading card.

Have questions or input, call sports reporter Casey Gisclair at (985) 876-3008, extension 29, or e-mail casey@tri-parishtimes.com.
