The South Lafourche boys’ track team attended the LSU Relays on March 24, and finished second in team standings.

Catholic of Baton Rouge won the meet with a team score of 109. South Lafourche finished with a score 66.


Four Tarpons finished first in individual events. Brent Adams placed first in the high jump; Philip Leger placed first in the javelin; Colby Comeaux finished first in the 110-meter high hurdles; and Tyler Guidry finished first in shot put.

Comeaux time of 14.45 in the 110-meter high hurdles set a new South Lafourche record. Comeaux’s second place finish in the 300-meter hurdles also set a new school record. His time was 39.88 seconds.

The 1600-meter relay and the Distance Medley runners also set South Lafourche records. Both sets of runners placed fourth overall in the event.
