Nicholls men’s basketball junior forward Anatoly Bose was named to the 2009 Basketball Travelers World Vision Classic All-Tournament team after posting three straight 20-point games and leading all players in total points and points-per-game, tournament organizers announced on Sunday.

Bose led the Colonels all weekend long, turning in a tournament high 68 points and leading all players with a 22.7 point/game average.

The Sydney, Australia native got started with a 20-point performance on Friday night against New Mexico.

Bose was the leading scorer of the game with 20 points on 4-for-10 shooting. The 6-foot-7-inch junior went 2-for-7 from three point range and was 10-for-11 from the free throw line against the Lobos in the Colonels 83-59 loss.

Bose followed that performance with a career night against Miami (Ohio) on Saturday. The Nicholls’ swingman poured in 27 points to lead all scorers for the second straight game. Bose went 8-for-17 from the floor with three three pointers and an 80 percent (8-for-10) free throw percentage in the colonels 69-58 loss.

In Sunday’s 77-45 loss in the finale against Louisiana Tech, Bose was once again the top performer in the game, bettering all scorers to the tune of 21 points while going 7-for-17 from the floor (including 4-for-10 from beyond the arc) and 3-for-4 from the field.

Bose also averaged 5 rebounds/game over the three-game stretch.
