November 25, 2010Dec. 4: The 21st Annual Bowl for Breath in Houma. Come out to Creole Lanes and “Strike Out Cystic Fibrosis.” Last year’s event raised more than $32,000 for CF research. The event is from 11 a.m. n 2 p.m. Anyone with questions about the event is asked to contact the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation at 504-455-5194.
Dec. 27-28: The E.D. White Catholic High School holiday baseball camp will be held. The camp is for children ranging from ages 6-14. For camp registration, email E.D. White coach Shane Trosclair at chackbayace@yahoo.com. The cost of entry is $70 per participant.
Jan. 8: The Cardiovascular Institute of the South and Terrebonne General Medical Center are holding their first “Houma Heart and Soles” Half-Marathon at the Houma-Terrebonne Civic Center. The race will be the first distance race for the Houma area and will include a half-marathon relay (13.1 miles), a two-man relay (6.55 miles per person) and a 5K walk/run (3.1 miles).
