Saturday n The Cajun Rollergirls derby skate league is recruiting for the 2011 season. The league is currently looking for women ages 18 and up to join. There will be an interest “call out” meeting starting noon on Saturday, January 8, 2011 in the media room of the Main Branch Library in Houma. Saturday n The Cardiovascular Institute of the South and Terrebonne General Medical Center is sponsoring the inaugural “Houma Hearts and Soles” half-marathon. The run will begin at 7 a.m. at the Houma-Terrebonne Civic Center and is the first distance race for the Houma area. The event will include a half-marathon relay, a two-man relay and a 5K walk/run.
