And then there were 12.

Bayou Boeuf native and WWE hopeful Zamariah “ZZ” Loupe had a bit of a scare, but is still alive in his quest to become tomorrow’s wrestling star.

Loupe was placed into the bottom three of Tough Enough by judge and WWE great Hulk Hogan, who cited a concern with ZZ’s inexperience and lack of physical prowess.

Hogan then said that he loves Loupe’s heart and personality.

But when the voting was done, Loupe outlasted the other two members of the bottom three, scoring 52% of WWE’s fan vote, which enabled him to remain on the show for at least one more week.

Throughout the episode, ZZ was featured heavily. Socially, he scored huge praise from other cast members for his big personality and love for entertaining others. Because Loupe is just 18, he stayed at home when other show members went out to a bar for an adult night out.

Not fazed by the lonely evening, Loupe said perhaps his best one-liner of the night, “Now I get to stay home and eat all of the cookies.”

But physically, his showing was behind other competitors. In the first physical challenge, Loupe struggled to haul a bag of sand from one end of a football field to the next. In the ring, he didn’t fare much better and was on the bottom tier of performers on the day.

When given 30 seconds to speak on why he deserved another week on the show, Loupe talked about his days working on swamp tours in Bayou Boeuf, explaining that tourism is similar to WWE in that they both are about “knowing how to make people happy.”

WWE Tough Enough airs every Tuesday night at 7 p.m. on the USA Network.
