Toughest sporting adversity you’ve ever dealt with:

Having to watch my teammates run without me at the beginning of this past season. It was a really tough feeling knowing that there wasn’t too much that I could do to be there for them during the meets.

Top sporting achievement:

I injured myself before my junior season, but I did all of the hard work necessary to come back, so that I could win the State Cross Country Championships this past fall. I had finished as a runner-up at state before, but I had never won it. To be able to cross the finish line first was a thrill that I will never forget, and it’s something that I hope I am blessed to be able to do again to help my team next season.

Championship Time:

19-minutes, 4 seconds.

Favorite Food(s):

Peanut butter

Future plans:

I’ve received a little bit of interest from schools who are interested in having me run for them. If the right opportunity presents itself, I’d love to consider continuing my career at the college level. That would be a blessing for me.

Things you’re working on in the next offseason:

I know that I need to work on my ball handling and my agility so that I can become a more complete and well-rounded basketball player.

What would you like to be when you grow up?

I’d like to be a physical therapist.

Favorite school subject:

Science
