Young basketball players looking to polish their craft this summer are in luck.

The Jerwaski Coleman Basketball Academy is returning to Houma.

The Vandebilt Catholic assistant boys’ basketball coach announced this week that he is going to do his camp for the third-straight summer.

The camp will teach basketball basics to both boys and girls ages 6-14.

The camp will take place June 3-6 at Houma Junior High School.

Coleman said the camp is beneficial to basketball players of all levels of experience and skill.

The coach said the camp will, “take your game to the next level, and will allow campers to gain self confidence through basketball success.”

Campers will be divided by age, and the fundamentals of shooting, passing and dribbling will be taught at various stations throughout the gym.

The cost to register for the camp is $40, and Coleman said sibling rates are available for parents with multiple children hoping to attend.

All campers will receive a t-shirt.

The camp will take place from 8:30-11:30 a.m. each day.
