Two men are in custody of the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office after they were caught allegedly dealing drugs in an undercover operation.

On Saturday night, undercover deputies in south Lafourche observed what appeared to be a drug transaction in the parking lot of a convenience store in Cut Off.

Authorities said one suspect deposited a bag inside the rear seat of another vehicle.

The suspects then departed the store in separate vehicles traveling south on La. Highway, and the deputies followed.

Deputies observed both vehicles committing traffic violations, initiating stops on each.

Authorities identified one of the drivers as Bradley Billiot, 27, of Golden Meadow.

Authorities said they detected the odor of marijuana inside his vehicle and Billiot allegedly admitted to having smoked a pipe inside the vehicle.

Authorities also located the bag, which was allegedly put in the vehicle by the other suspect, later identified as Matthew Mayberry, 24, of Galliano.

Inside the bag were an assortment of alleged narcotics, including suspected marijuana, methamphetamine and several pills, later identified as Valium, Xanax and Adderall.

Both suspects were arrested during their traffic stops and taken into custody.

Both suspects were charged with possession of Diazepam, Alprazolam, Adderall and drug paraphernalia.

Mayberry is charged with distribution of marijuana and methamphetamine, as well as improper vehicle lighting.

Billiot is charged with possession of methamphetamine and marijuana.

Mayberry posted a $42,850 bond.

Billiot’s bond is $13,000.
