Adolph Francis “Buddy” Geist, 88, a native and resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at 10:55 a.m.

Mr. Geist served as a Eucharistic Minister and Usher for many years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 1317 for over 50 years and founded “The Doll and Toy Fund” for underprivileged children. He also served as Grand Knight and as a Faithfull Navigator.

He is survived by his wife Philetta Ann Gautreaux Geist; sons Dr. Eric T. Geist (Beth), Mark F. Geist (Jackie), David C. Geist, Glen P. Geist (Monique) and Stephen P. Geist, Sr. (Karen); daughter Donna G. Buch (Chuck); brother Oswald Geist, sister Rosemary G. Porche and 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
