Alice H. Verdin, 74, a native of Choctaw, La., and resident of Golden Meadow, La., died Thursday, Oct. 22, 2015.
Mrs. Verdin is survived by her husband of 42 years, Nelson Verdin Sr.; children, Irene (Cherry) Verdin, Albert (Elizabeth) Dardar, Nelson (Florinda) Verdin Jr. and Allison (Kent) Hornback; 11 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations made to offset funeral costs are appreciated.

Joseph Webre Brazan, 92, a native of Boyce, La., and Vacherie, La., and resident of Laplace, La., died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2015.
Mr. Brazan is survived by his sister, Ollie Morlier; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Burial is at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery in Chackbay, La.
