Alton A. Rivet, 73, a native of Gheens, La., and resident of Cut Off, La., died March 18, 2015.
Mr. Rivet was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of the Holy Name Society, Sacred Heart Choir and the American Legion Post 315. He loved cooking, gardening and spending time with family.
Mr. Alton is survived by his wife of 49 years, Diana Arceneaux Rivet; daughter, Inga (Chad) Bruce; son, Taft Rivet; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, C.J. Rivet; and sisters Clarice Howard and Andy Verdin. Burial is at Holy Savior Cemetery in Lockport. (Samart-Mothe Funeral Home)
