Nicholls education student aces national contest

Alvin “Lut Lut” “Black” Francis Blanchard, Sr., 77, a native and resident of Chauvin, La., died at 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 2, 2017.
Mr. Blanchard was a loving family man and was very skilled with his hands.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Marie Browder Blanchard; sons, Alvin (Melissa), Todd (Leah) and Keith Blanchard; daughters, Robin (Billy) Nance, Julie Triche and April (Ronnie) Chauvin; brothers, Newton (Opal), Terry (Gloria) and Danny (Gail) Blanchard; sisters, Delta Mae LeBoeuf, Gaynelle Hutchinson, Sherry (Ronald) Boquet and Donna Lee Brunet; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Burial is at a later date.
