Antoine “T-Man” Murray Parfait, 68, a native and resident of Dulac, La., died at 2:05 a.m. on Monday, April 11, 2016.


Mr. Parfait was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church. He was a former chief of the Grand Caillou/Dulac Band of Biloxi-Chitimacha-Choctaw Indian Tribe. He was a tug boat captain and, in his free time, enjoyed writing and singing music.

He is survived by his former wife, Ramona N. Parfait; son, Darryl (Gypsy Collins) Parfait; daughters, Charyl (Joey) Soulet, Cannita (Jason) Olivier, Shelly (Jonathon) Naquin, Tisha (Joshua LeBouef Sr.) Parfait, Valerie (Chris) Rodrigue and Rayanna (Gerald) Smith; brothers, Wilton Jr. (Gwen) Parfait Jr. and Michael Parfait; sisters, Mary (Addie Sr.) Solet, Marlene (Roy) Verdin, Rose (Calvin Sr.) Verdin and Ruth (Arnold) Carrere; 25 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren.

Burial is at Prevost/Grand Caillou Dulac Band of Biloxi-Chitimacha-Choctaw Cemetery in Dulac.
