State unveils red snapper plan

Antoinette Valure Lirette, 87, a native and resident of Houma, La., died at 5:18 p.m. on Monday, May 15, 2017.
Ms. Lirette loved fishing and crabbing, listening to music of the Big Band era and volunteering for the St. Joseph’s Altar. She was known for her quick wit and incisive advice.
She is survived by her sons, Jerome (Darlene) and Leland (Lois) Lirette; daughters, Angela Breaux and Janice (William) Arsenaux; sister, Mary Bergeron; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Burial is at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2 in Houma.
