A Larose man was arrested after authorities said he donned a ski mask and robbed victims at gunpoint.
Jude Cantrelle, Jr., 22, was arrested after neighbors said they were awakened at 7 a.m. on April 11th to find two males standing at their residence with ski masks – one pointing a gun at the victims.
Authorities said the assailants were demanding money from the victims when a third victim entered the room and recognized one of the masked men to be Cantrelle.
Authorities later located Cantrelle and charged him with two counts of aggravated battery, simple escape, felony armed robbery, resisting an officer and disturbing the peace. He also had warrants for charges of cyber bullying and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre said efforts are being made to find the second man. Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-743-7433.
