Ashley J. Matherne, 73, a native of New Orleans, La., and resident of Bourg, La., died at 3:07 p.m. Monday, March 16, 2015.
Mr. Matherne was a parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church, and a 25-year member of the Terrebonne Orchid Society. He loved to draw, cook, landscape and do woodworking. A presentational perfectionist, he was the ultimate cake boss. He also had an infectious laugh.
Mr. Matherne is survived by his wife, Beverly Matherne; son, Darryl (Lisa) Matherne; daughter: Rhonda (Ronnie) Lisotta; sister, Diane (Joel) Lapeyrouse; sister: Sheryl (Patrick) Scott; brother, Colton (Dorothy) Matherne; brother, Clifford (Loretta) Matherne Jr.; one granddaughter; stepsister, Doris Chauvin; stepbrother, Murry Hebert and stepbrother, Leroy Hebert.
Burial is at St. Ann Catholic Church Cemetery.
