Mary Bird Perkins TGMC Cancer Center announces their 12th annual cancer gala. Ladies Night Out presented by Peoples Drug Store, will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at the Houma-Terrebonne Civic Center at 6:30pm. The event celebrates cancer survivorship, raises valuable funds to support cancer patients in the community and honors those who have lost the fight against cancer.


“We are thrilled to once again celebrate the tremendous community support of our patients and the Cancer Center with an unforgettable and fabulous evening,” said Melanie Guilbeaux Mary Bird Perkins TGMC Cancer Director. “Over the past 11 years, we have raised $796,000 for patients receiving treatment right here at home. Wife are proud to be able to offer world-class services to our community so that each patient can continue to live life to its fullest”

The event will include a VIP experience, elaborate silent auction, delicious local cuisine, signature cocktails, upbeat music and a cancer survivor fashion show. This year, 17 fearless cancer survivors will walk down the catwalk in the fashion show.

The survivors include Durlene Alford Bigler. Debra Brouillerte. Jason Chiasson. Brent J. Constransitch, Mark Anthony Deroche, Amber Dofflemyer, Shanna Ledet. Percy Joseph Naquin. Jean Oubre. Richard “Bidda” Pitre, Amanda Voishi Porche. Gloria “Sissy” B. Reeves. Rhonda Hoogeveen Roddy, Paul Samanie, Antoinette Marie Small, Kate Burns Stark, and Angie Trosclair.


In addition, the event will include mobile silent auction bidding where guests can bid an items using their cell phones, and a Fund the Fight booth, where guests can designate funds to particular cancer resources in need, like gas cards and wigs and a text-to-give campaign.

Proceeds from Ladies Night Out will help take the fight forward by removing barriers to care, such as transportation assistance for those needing help getting to their treatments, arid providing free community cancer screenings for those who otherwise could not afford them.
