BREAKING: Boustany’s trade protection act makes House cut

Barbara Ann Dupre, 75, a native of Ellendale, and resident of Houma, La., died Saturday, June 6, 2015.

Mrs. Dupre was a member of the Lions Club for 30 years. She was vice district and the first female district governor of District 8S. She was council chairman and received the Melvin Jones Fellowship award. Mrs. Dupre was the first woman president of the Louisiana Lion’s Camp For Crippled Children in Leesville. She was also active in cub sight screenings.

Mrs. Dupre is survived by her sisters, Carolyn Casper, Sharon “Peanut” Authement; and brothers, Dennis Bergeron Sr., Mark Bergeron; son, Ferrel (Barbara) Dupre; daughter, Mary Dupre (Norris) Guidroz; son-in-law, Michael Breaux; 5 grandchildren, Shelia Dupre, Kristina Breaux Gill, Jimmy Breaux, Courtney Guidroz, Brody Guidroz; 4 great-grandchildren; and 2 step-grandchildren.


Burial is at St. Francis Cemetery No. 2. (Samart Funeral Home)
