Betty Eschete Poiencot, 80, a native of Houma, La., and resident of Bayou Dularge, La., died Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2015.
Mrs. Poiencot was a parishioner of St.
Eloi Catholic Church, who was involved in the Bayou Dularge community for 58 years.
She was an active member of St. Eloi Ladies Auxiliary and Nights of Columbus Council 8779 Ladies Auxilary, a volunteer at Chabert Medical Center Gift Shop, an avid artist and a New Orleans Saints fan.
She is survived by her husband, Aloysius “Al” Poiencot; sons, Doug (Simone), David (Sheila), Kelly (Daphne) and Al (Priscilla) Poiencot; daughters, Gwen (Darrel) Trahan, Mary (Mike) Robinson and Celest (Pat) Landry; brother, Nolan Eschete Jr.; sister, Christine Eunice; 15 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Burial is at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
