The Barataria-Terrebonne National Estuary Program (BTNEP) was recently featured on the TV show “Flip My Food” with Chef Jeff on W VUE/Fox 8 New Orleans. The syndicated show will play throughout the nation in the upcoming months.

The episode highlights the estuary while introducing new recipes that include ingredients that can be found within the Barataria-Terrebonne Estuary System (BTES). The episode also highlights the BTNEP staff and the value of Louisiana’s wetlands.

“Flip My Food” is hosted by Chef Jeff Henderson. An award-winning chef, bestselling author and popular public speaker. His idea behind the show is to “flip” the favorite dishes of award-winning chefs, celebrities and everyday people to make healthier versions of the recipes.

The show airs five days a week and on Saturdays.

Chef Jeff has highlighted many Louisiana businesses and people, including The Royal Sonesta of New Orleans, Rotolo’s Pizzeria, the Global Wildlife Center and members of the New Orleans Police.

“Chef Jeff was a wonderful host who really understands the importance of our estuary,” Sunsan Testroet-Bergeron, director of BTNEP, said. “He also did a great job or turning out seafood into very tasty meals.”

Chef Jeff Henderson, host of “Flip My Food,” records a scene for the show with Susan Testroet-Bergeron, the director of the Barataria-Terrebonne Natinoal Estuary Program.
