Carroll Joseph Ledet, 67, a native and resident of Houma, died Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 5:08 p.m.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 6, from 5 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, April 7, in the Magnolia Chapel of Chauvin Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., with burial in St. Francis No. 2 Cemetery.


Carroll is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mildred LeBlanc Ledet; son, Kevin Ledet; daughters, Laurie Moreau and husband, Donnie, and Katelynn Souldier; grandchildren, Jennifer Ledet, Chelsey Borne and Camren Moreau; great-grandchildren, Hank Borne, Amelia Gilbert and Intended Lucas Gilbert; brothers, Louis Jr. “Onnie” and Tommy Ledet; and sisters, Suzie Lichenstein and Cyndi Smith.

Carroll was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Sr., and Mary Callahan Ledet; and sister, June Ledet.

Carroll was a consultant in the oilfield. He was a member of the Unity Lodge 267 Masonic. He enjoyed fishing, going to the camp, cooking and loved family and friends. He loved his grandchildren. He loved to repair small gas engines and flying homemade airplanes.
