The Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office is looking for information which can lead to an arrest in separate incidents where cash was taken from a Raceland casino on U.S. Highway 90.

Authorities said the first incident occurred on Nov. 24. Through investigation, authorities learned that an unidentified male subject had been gambling inside the casino for some time.

At one point, authorities said the man then approached the cashier’s counter, distracted her, then stole a wallet-sized money bag from behind the counter, immediately leaving the scene.

Authorities said the man left in an older model white Chevy Tahoe. He is considered a white male about 5-foot, 9-inches tall. He is caught on surveillance footage (above). He appears to have a beard.

As the investigation continued, authorities learned of a second incident during the evening hours of Nov. 29.

At that time, authorities said they learned that an unidentified male entered the cadino and walked into the restroom. Through investigation, detectives said they learned that the man allegedly climbed into the ceiling, down a partition wall and into the casino office, taking money, then fleeing the scene.

Authorities said the man allegedly left in a blue Nissan Frontier.

This suspect is allegedly around 5-foot, 8-inches – maybe slightly taller. He, too, has a short-haired beard.

Anyone who can identify either suspect is asked to call Bayou Region Crime Stoppers at 1-800-743-7433. Tips which lead to an arrest can make a subject eligible for a cash reward.

The suspect pictured above allegedly stole money from a clerk at a Raceland casino. He is described as a white male who stands about 5-foot, 9-inches tall.
