Cesare Del Greco, 79, a native of New York City, N.Y., and resident of Houma, La., died Friday, Oct. 23, 2015.
Funeral services are from 9 to 11 a.m. today at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. A Mass of Christian Burial begins at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
Mr. Del Greco was born and raised in New York, and he worked for several years with the McAllister Brothers as a harbor pilot and an executive. He moved to Houma in 2001, and he began work with Offshore Express as president. After his retirement, he enjoyed assisting the priest with masses at Heritage Manor and spending time with his loved ones. He was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 57 years, Mary Del Greco; daughter, Cathy Del Greco; loving friend, Ezequiel Mezquita; and family members, Vicky (Mike) Hopf, Guy (Sandy) Del Greco; and three grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mr. Del Greco’s memory to St. Joseph Abbey, 752376 River Road, St. Benedict, LA 70457.
