Charles “Chuck” “Paw Charlie” Joseph Bonvillain, 85, died at 4:17 p.m. on Monday, May 30, 2016.


Mr. Bonvillain was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. A U.S. Marine, he received a Purple Heart during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed fishing, going to the casino and playing bingo.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Otecia Vizier Bonvillain; children, Charlene (Chris) Lapeyrouse, Benjamin (Patricia Samanie), Keith (Ann), Chris (Denise), Rachel Breaux, Ted and Carey Bonvillain; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, and one on the way; and brothers, August (Anna Mae) and Barry (Elyrea) Bonvillain.

Burial is at Holy Rosary Catholic Church Cemetery.
