Claude Joseph Pellegrin, age 90, passed away at 12:22 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, 2019. He was a native of Houma and a resident of New Iberia, L.A.

Claude is survived by his sons, Rickie J. Pellegrin and wife, Merrill, and Jared Pellegrin; daughter, Janice P. Champagne; brothers, Merlin Pellegrin and wife, Barbara, Clark Pellegrin Sr. and wife, Frances, and Dean Pellegrin and wife, Jeanie; sisters, Carol P. LeBoeuf and husband, Julius, Joann P. Donovan and husband, Mike; brother-in-law, Leroy Rhodes Sr.; grandchildren, Shawn Champagne and wife, Shawnda, Karly Haik and husband, Morris Michael, Konni Kay Ashy and husband, D.J., Kylie Hymel and husband, Harrison, Crissy Pellegrin and husband, Dustin Sammarco, Kitzi Taylor and husband, Leo, and Kazli Sullivan and husband, Patric; and 15 great-grandchildren.


Claude was a parishioner of St. Anthony Padua Church where he served as an usher. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus as a 3rd Degree Member of Council No. 9338. He was a retired boat captain. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing bingo, cooking, dancing and spending time with his family and friends. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
