David Pierrou, a boiler operator at Big Al’s Seafood in Houma, drops 30 pounds of live crawfish into a larger boiler to feed hungry diners. Crawfish prices will be high this Easter weekend, said Gary Blanchard, owner of the Crawfish House on West Park Avenue in Houma. He said water entering the Atchafalaya Basin is too cold and the cool weather over the weekend is keeping supply levels down. “Usually we take 1200 sacks on order every Good Friday,”
