Webre said detectives will continue to use surveillance cameras to monitor activity at the boat launch.

A Houma man is in custody of authorities after a dead body was found in Cocodrie. Detectives with the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office said the victim and suspect were seen arguing before the suspect was killed.

On Thursday evening, authorities found Robbie James Coulon’s body in Cocodrie. The victim hadn’t been reported missing and was last seen alive about a week before being located.

The autopsy was performed May 15, and the cause of death was determined as asphyxiation, pending toxicology results, which were not available at press-time.

The suspect was arrested on warrants for probation violation and contempt of court.
