3rd suspect nabbed in home invasion, robbery

A third suspect is now in custody in connection to a home invasion and armed robbery that took place in Thibodaux in late January.

Authorities arrested Jamie Hendrix, 34, of Lockport, was arrested on outstanding warrants last Tuesday, and during his arrest, he was allegedly found in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia.

At 5:15 p.m. on Jan. 30, deputies responded to an incident in the Thibodaux area, during which authorities learned that Katie Hendrix, 34, and Cody Matherne, 36, had allegedly entered a residence without permission and began beating a woman inside. Authorities said that a stunt gun was used on the victim, as well.

The suspects fled the residence with several items, including a laptop, cell phones and cash, but they were arrested the next day following an investigation.

After the arrest, authorities learned that Katie Hendrix’s husband Jamie Hendrix was also present at the time of the robbery, which led authorities to obtain a warrant for his arrest, as well.

At the time of his arrest, Hendrix was found to have a backpack in his possession, which authorities found to contain a small amount of suspected methamphet-amine, seven Clonazepam pills, one Alprazolam pill, various drug paraphernalia and several other pills for which Hendrix did not have a prescription, according to authorities.

Hendrix was arrested and transported to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center in Thibodaux where he was booked with armed robbery and home invasion, as well as possession of methamphetamine, Clonazepam, Alprazolam, a legend drug and drug paraphernalia. The suspect is being held in lieu of a $117,600 bond as set by Judge Christopher J. Boudreaux.
