DeAnn C. Rowell, 68, passed away at 4:58 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was a native of Junction City, Kansas, and 28-year resident of Houma. LA

Mrs. DeAnn is survived by her loving children, Marc Anthony Glott of Coppell, Texas; Melanie Renee Naquin and husband, Travis of Clinton, Mississippi; and Melissa Leigh Chauvin and husband, Donald of Bourg. Also left to mourn are her sisters, Lea Rainelle Champ Prudhomme and husband, Patrick, and Nancy Jo Champ Baylor; along with her grandchildren, Victoria and husband, Storm, Alexandra, Eliza, Wesleigh, Lila and Zoe; and great-granddaughter, Vivian.

She was an educator and member of Young Homemakers of America who possessed a strong will and faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was loved by all who knew her as a kind and giving person, and returned that love unconditionally. After retirement, she continued to care for children by opening her home providing childcare for many families throughout the years. She will be remembered as the most caring mother, daughter, sister, friend and Mimi.

At DeAnn’s request, no services will be held and the family asks that all remember her vibrant spirit and keep her in their prayers.

Well done good and faithful servant. Your work here is done. Enter into the joy of your Master. Mathew 25:21

Memorials may be made in her memory to American Cancer Society or the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
