“I feel like LSU has the same problems and the same debates every offseason. For the Tigers to be successful, they need Danny to play at a high level. I don’t think he’s capable of doing it. But I will be happy if I am wrong. We’re rooting for you kid. Go on out and prove this old man wrong! It wouldn’t be the first time that happens. Just ask my wife. She’d be happy to tell you that I am wrong way more often than I am not. Jokes aside, I think the Tigers go 10-2 and have an outside shot at the College Football Playoff! Geaux Tigers! Geaux Etling!

“I don’t think Coach O believes in this kid and that makes me a little bit nervous. He was very honest after the Alabama game last year about how poorly Danny played and I think since then, the relationship has been a little bit stained. I think he’s going to start in 2017, but I think the fact that a fifth-year senior has not yet officially been named the starter is very telling when it comes to how Coach O is thinking and what he expects of this kid. Maybe the injury being healed will help. But I think the coaches know he’s limited and are trying to bridge the gap as best they can until Brennan is ready.”
