“They did it again. I want to send my sincerest compliments to Coach DoBee Plaisance and her staff for again doing an outstanding job working with the community and the coaches in Louisiana to get people on board with Nicholls basketball. Before Coach Plaisance, Nicholls basketball really used to struggle. Now, we contend favorably against everyone in the Southland Conference. Thank you to coach and also to the student-athletes for choosing the Colonels.

Our story ‘Saints, Pelicans need to rebuild their roster generated the following responses online:

“Finally, we have someone who speaks the truth. The Saints and Pelicans have been a Mickey Mouse operation for too long. I think it’s time that we take a good, long look at Payton, Loomis and the whole cast of characters and make changes. Someone once told me that the definition of insanity was doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. Right now, that is the Saints in a nutshell. They waste money over and over again, but can’t find a way to turn that money into productivity on the field. It’s time we protect our account, much like you see the Steelers, Packers and other teams do. In the NFL, sometimes it’s bargain shopping that works best. In professional football, sometimes less is more. The Saints need to learn that lesson.
