Doretha “Dee” Simoneaux, 82, a native of Abbeville, La., and resident of Morgan City, La., died June 25, 2015.

Mrs. Simoneaux worked as a telephone operator in New Orleans. After her children were grown, she became a bookkeeper at Morgan City Bank from which she retired. She was a seasoned traveler and kept meticulous journals. She also loved listening to country music, Come Lord Jesus meetings, and working at Sacred Heart Catholic Church as a member of the Grievance Committee.

Mrs. Simoneaux is survived by her sister, Beverly (Floyd) Harrington; sons, Michael (Nita) and David (Kelly) Simoneaux; daughters, Bonnye (Jim) Livesay and Tessie (John) DuBois; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Philip (Carol) Simoneaux; sisters-in-law, Katy (Huey), Mary Francis and Joyce Simoneaux.
