Drusella “Ki Ki” Lirette Martin, 81, a native of Dulac and resident of Houma for 65 years, received her wings on Monday, August 6, 2018. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She never met a stranger and loved making new friends. Drusella enjoyed going to the casinos, playing bingo and embroidery.

She is survived by five daughters, Mona Triche (Randy), Deborah Martin, Bernadette Hebert (Ray), Norma Jean Charpentier (Darrell), and Brenda Thompson (Gary); brothers, Donald and Douglas Lirette; 10 grandchildren, Cobey and Chase Triche, Thomas Jr. and Seth McDonald, Kelly Hebert, Dillion Ham, Megan Loftis, Katie and Katelyn Charpentier, and Justin Martin; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; best friend, Lucenda McElroy; her best furry friend, “Jae Jae,”; and Brian Fitch, her son she never had.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the nursing staff at Terrebonne General Medical Center on the four north and south floor, Acadian Ambulance Service and Dr. Fadi Abou Issa.
