Edward Henry De Mouy, M.D. 82, a native of Liverpool, England, and resident of New Orleans, La., and Houma, La., died Monday, Aug. 10, 2015. Dr. De Mouy served in the U.S. Air Force for 10 years. He practiced in Washington State as a flight surgeon from 1958-66. He served at R. A.F. Lakenheath (USAF) as Chief of Radiology from 1963-1966. Dr. De Mouy was Director of Radiology, School of Aerospace Medicine, Brooks Air force base in San Antonio, Texas from 1966-1967. He was in private practice as a radiologist in Houston, Texas from 1967-1968 and in New Orleans from 1968-1989.


Post-Katrina, Dr. De Mouy was semi-retired and had been working at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center part-time from 2006-07. Most recently he had contributed by making weekly consultations at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center. Dr. De Mouy was a parishioner of St. Matthews Episcopal Church.

Dr. De Mouy is survived by his wife, Sally D. Tamplain De Mouy; sons, Edward and Jeffery (Therese) De Mouy, Kenneth (Angie) and Thomas Tamplain; six grandchildren; and sister, Margaret (Jack, M.D.) McNulty.

Interment is in Magnolia Cemetery.
