Emelda Collins Trahan, 78, a lifelong resident of Chauvin, died on December 1, 2017.
Ms. Trahan is survived by her husband of 62 years, John Trahan, son, Darrel Trahan Sr. and wife Gwen; daughter, Melissa Hunter; grandson, Darrel Trahan, Jr.; two granddaughters, Mandi Trahan, Hope Hunter; great-granddaughter, Emily Trahan; sister, Mary Lynn Poole; brother, Emile Collins, Jr.; three nieces, Kristi Lightfoot, Brandee Theriot, Twyla Arnauld; four nephews, Waylon Thibodeaux, Chris Collins, Jason Matherne, Travis Poole.
She was a wonderful loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed life and especially going on cruises with family and friends.
