Eugene Anthony Trahan, 86, a native and resident of Houma, Louisiana, died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015.

Mr. Trahan was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran and a member of the Chosen Few. He was a lifetime member of the Montegut Lions Club and the American Legion. He will be remembered as the man who glided across the dance floor during waltzes and cut a rug with the jitterbug.

He is survived by his wife, Norma Authement Trahan; son, Drukell (Theresa) Trahan; daughters, Deidre (Wayne) Holmes, Adele daughters, Deidre (wayne) Holmes, Adeie Weber and Danielle (Brent) Vauclin; sister, Shirley Millet; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
