Galette released by Saints

The New Orleans Saints have released their best pass-rusher.

Several media outlets reported this past week that the Black and Gold parted ways with defensive lineman Junior Galette, a player who had signed a four-year, high-dollar contract last season.

Galette recorded more than 20 combined sacks in the past two seasons, but had fallen out of favor with the front office after a pair of domestic violence issues.

Galette was charged with abuse this past year, but the offense was later dropped.

This past spring, another incident occurred when a video surfaced of a man who appears to be Galette beating a woman on the beach with a belt.
