Last weekend, local hoopsters got their chance to showcase their talents on the hardwood. The South Lafourche Biddy Basketball Summer Classic gave Houma-Thibodaux area kids a chance to play 3-on-3 basketball before the start of the school year. It’s the event’s seventh run.
Pierre the Pelican stopped by the Summer Classic during the morning hours to wish luck to everyone in the U8 and U10 divisions. After a break in the action, he stopped and posed with a couple players who competed in the festivities.
Jahyri Coleman Jr. turns into the lane during the U10 tournament. Coleman was one of the leading players on a team which finished as the runner-up in the bracket.
D.J. Adams makes a move to the basket during the U8 tournament. Adams team won the U8 tournament title. He teamed with Terrance Pitre and Jayden Coleman.
