Henry “Smitty” Smith, 74, a native and resident of Schriever, La., died on Friday, February 24, 2017.
Mr. Smith was a parishioner of St. Bridget Catholic Church and a 3rd degree Knight of Columbus. He worked as a safety rep for J. Ray McDermott for 36 years. He was known as a jack of all trades and liked gardening, baking, growing satsumas and watching hummingbirds.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Maureen Schouest Smith; children, Celeste (Bill), Debbie and Jared Smith; brother, Loy (Patricia) Smith; sisters, Edith (Lawrence) Fanguy, Betty (Robert) Odum and Barbara (Charles) Hebert; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Burial is at a later date.
